University of Cincinnati students and alumni are invited to the semi-annual Professional and Technical Career Fair on February 6, 7 and 8.
Students and alumni of all majors, both undergraduate and graduate, are welcome to attend. The Professional Day, Tuesday, tends to focus on roles in business and the liberal arts and sciences, while Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Technical Days focus on engineering and information technology (IT).

The fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the Campus Recreation Center. In addition, some companies hiring specifically in construction, civil engineering or architectural engineering will be located in the Tangeman University Center on Wednesday and Thursday.
More than 330 companies will be on campus to fill co-op or internship positions and post-graduation jobs. Job seekers should check the list of employers before the fair to see which companies are coming, on which days and in which location, so they don’t miss good opportunities.
Companies that offer jobs in sustainability will be highlighted at the fair with signs at their table.
Students should bring five to ten copies of their resume, a notepad and pen, and their Bearcat Card (student ID). Students may pre-register, but it is not required.
Job seekers should dress professionally. UC students can get deep discounts on career clothing and accessories during the JC Penney Suit Up event in person at the Eastgate Mall JC Penney store Feb. 4. In addition, students who qualify can pick out professional clothing for free from the Bearcats Pantry Career Closet which will operate a satellite location nearby during the fair.
Preparing for a career fair will make you less nervous, more confident and perhaps more successful in your co-op or job search. Job seekers can do several things to prepare, including:
