Login to CatalystThe word "exploratory" is used to describe a student who has yet to declare a major in a baccalaureate program. In the past, the term that was used to describe such students was "undecided," which is somewhat misleading. The term "exploratory" truly captures the essence of those students who want to explore their many options for a baccalaureate program.
The Center for Exploratory Studies (CES) is the University of Cincinnati's academic home for students who are undecided, exploring majors, or seeking admission to a competitive UC academic program. CES provides highly-personalized exploratory advising and innovative academic exploration programming to help undecided students find their best-fit career pathways early in their academic career to allow for timely graduation. The professional advising team is uniquely skilled to help students navigate the admission and program requirements for all undergraduate majors offered at UC.
