Tuition Payments

Tuition is due five days before classes begin. For Fall 2020, the tuition due date is August 19, 2020. Payment must be made in US dollars drawn on a US bank to be fully accredited to the account. The student bill is a dynamic bill representing charges and credits, including aid and loans, as of the time it is viewed on-line. Bills will be available by the end of July. Additional details about room and board charges can be found on the housing website.

Payment Options

You and your student have several tuition payment options, including UC’s Tuition Payment Plan, check, money order, and electronic check or credit card payment through the Catalyst student portal. Specific instructions for each method of tuition payment are available on the Bursar’s Office website

Some important things to note about your payment options:

  • To make an electronic check or credit card payment for your student in the Catalyst student portal, your student will need to have granted you delegated access.
  • Electronic check payments have no service fees.
  • Credit card service fees apply: 2.75% for US credit cards and 4.25% for international credit cards.
  • The Tuition Payment Plan allows you to pay in 3 installments. The fee for the interest-free plan is $35. If you enroll in the plan, be sure to make a note of the payment due dates on your calendar.

Sponsored Aid

Sponsored Aid is when a third party, such as an employer, former employer, the military, non-profit organization or institution, agency or other organization or institution pays all, or some portion, of a student’s bill. To pay your bills by Sponsored Aid, you must first determine what type of Sponsored Aid is available to you. There are two types of Sponsored Aid:

  • Prepaid Sponsored Aid: The organization sends UC a check in advance of the beginning of the term. If your student is receiving prepaid sponsored aid, please review these additional steps your student will need to take to receive funding.
  • Invoiced or Billed Sponsored Aid: The organization agrees to pay some or all tuition/fees for one or more students and is notified by invoice or billed by the university when payment is due. If your student is receiving invoiced or billed sponsored aid, please review these additional steps your student will need to take to receive funding.
